Influenced Handwriting Analysis
As with any outside influence on ones ability to either hold the writing instrument or control the many series of complicated neuromuscular movements involved in the act of handwriting, the use of alcohol and/or drugs can affect the ability to write. Just as attempting to ride a bicycle or operating an automobile, alcohol and drugs that affect motor skill activities will make it “difficult” to write without deviation from ones normal handwriting. Characteristics of alcohol and/or drug influenced handwriting include but are not limited to “sloppy” or “slurred” appearing, tremorus, correction overwriting, poor pen placement and stray or spurious pen markings.
